Why you shouldn’t have to “dress up” to fly first class. A lot of people choose to dress up when they fly in premium cabins. I totally respect that and see why they do it. I also hope that they respect when other people choose not to. Let me make the simple case for why you shouldn’t feel like you need to dress up to fly.
There were no ordinary first-class seats on the Concorde. As far as I could tell, the cabin was all R class, which I understood to refer to the first class cabin. A Concorde fare class called Supersonic was code-named R and was available on the aircraft for a fee that was significantly higher than that of other first-class classes.
Our Boeing Embraer 175 aircraft have two cabins: First Class, and Main Cabin. The First Class cabin has 12 seats in rows 1-4 of the plane. As you board the plane, the First Class seats are lettered, from left to right, D and C, the aisle, then A.
